Where...am....I? Oh yeah. Well, as many of you have noticed, I have not updated in eons...well a couple of weeks...but that's a hell of a long time. Disabled monitor and computer as well as sheer laziness helped contribute to the lack of updatage here, at THE JAZZY BAHSOUN. Anyway, enough excuses. Let's see....what has happened over these couple of weeks....I got my piss poor, go screw yourself housing offer from UCLA. Rieber Hall: Triple. After much deliberation, I decided to say "Thanks. But no thanks." I'll live at home a little longer then apply again and move out...out of my home...where I've lived for nine years...nine years that I have spent growing up, learning, evolving...Then again, evolution never ceases. It will continue in some shape or form, no matter what my surroundings are, no matter what people I encounter. Evolution is all a state of mind. Meanwhile, I've been trying to distract myself from life with life. You know the typical movies, movies, friends, friends, school, school. Which reminds me...when the hell did highschool start to end so fast? Why did no one notify me of this? *Zing Pow Boom Flash* It's June and you're being booted out on your ass. No more order and structure to depend on. Is that a good thing, bad thing, neutral thing? What? Life seems slow when you live it, but seems fast when you watch it from a distance. I can't seem to find a balance. Sometimes moments in life don't seem worth it, most of the time they are priceless. You've just got to step out of the life bubble for a break sometimes, breath in, breath out, look around, then walk right back in, because you never know when that bubble's gonna pop in your face, leaving only surprise and dismay and the debris surrounding you. Meanwhile, everyone else's bubble is bouncing around and having a jolly good time. You can't let yourself be the soul standing amidst the debris. Death is inevitable, but so is life. So make use of it and stop bitching about how much it sucks. It only sucks if you make it that way. I'm not a pessimist. I'm not an optimist. I'm a pessoptimist.
Yes. So this pessoptimist has some work to do before he goes optimizing his future. English major with aspirations to go to medical school while playing in the band? Sure, why not. It's these crazy things that make life worth living. I love to write and I want to be a physician. So I'll write and march my way off to medical school without a care. That's not very realistic now is it. The pessoptimist says, "If you're doing something now to screw yourself over in the future. Just wait until you get there and fix it. Don't go trying to fix it now, but keep it in the back of your head so it doesn't sneak up on you and bite your face off." Yeah, I'm a pessoptimist.
